Gearbox Day 2

Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld 3.5/5
A steampunk world where people use genetically modified beasts and machines.

I really liked the idea of trying to make the animals part of it. They took the animals and genetically modified them -- whales that could float in the sky or animals that could extract atoms from other things. There characters weren’t too interesting. The plot was so-so. The strongest part of the book was the world-building. The drawings were amazing as well.

  1. Hey, it's great to meet fellow reader guys! Have you ever doe this Challenge before? It's a lot of fun. I REALLY liked Leviathan--too bad you think the characters ere that interesting. Ye, they were stock characters but I thought SW fleshed them out really well. Have you read the other two books in this series? I hope you have fun this weekend!
