Bento Day 2
The Runaway King by Jennifer Nielsen 5/5
I can't say any of the parts I loved without giving it away. I loved it a lot and I think that other people would like it because it has unexpected twists, and you get more into the characters, and it has more unexpected twists.

Gearbox Day 2
Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld 3.5/5
A steampunk world where people use genetically modified beasts and machines.
I really liked the idea of trying to make the animals part of it. They took the animals and genetically modified them -- whales that could float in the sky or animals that could extract atoms from other things. There characters weren’t too interesting. The plot was so-so. The strongest part of the book was the world-building. The drawings were amazing as well.

Gearbox: Day 1
The Complete Maus by Art Spiegelman 5/5
The story of a small person in the holocaust played out using animals.
I like how he used the Jews and mice and the cats as Nazis. It was clever to use animals instead of humans because it put a different perspective on how you would normally see them. I also liked how it skipped from the guy’s story to the author trying to get the story from his father. It was daring for him to create it as a comic book.
A Tale Dark and Grimm by Adam Gidwitz 4/5
The story of Hansel and Gretel retold in a gruesome and bloody way.
I liked how it took the classic fairy tale and added humor. He split up the entire story into a couple of different section and ended and restarted them in multiple ways. He added humor to try to lighten up the story.
Ms. Marvel vol. 1 by G. Willow Wilson
In Real Life by Cory Doctorow and Jen Wang
Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld ** in progress**
Paper Towns (audiobook) by John Green **in progress**
Total Hours: 15.5

Ms. Marvel vol. 1 3/5
About a girl from Israel who moved to San Francisco. After this party at this riverside, she met all the Marvel heros and they made her a superhero.

It was too boring -- you didn;t really get a sense of the plot. All you saw was snippets and her going to do this and that.
False Prince by Jennifer Nielsen 5/5
It’s a great book. There’s this boy named Sage who was an orphan. He was stealing stuff. He was taken away to this place where he was in a contest to become prince. I liked the unexpected twist. I liked the whole plot -- lot of adventure, sneaking, fun stuff... I also liked the character names.
Friends with Boys by Faith Erin Hicks 3/5
I didn't really like it.
Anya's Ghost by Vera Bristol 4/5
Anya’s Ghost is about a girl who moved from Russia. She fell down a hole and met a ghost. The ghosts says that her family was murdered by this person and she ran away, but is she telling the truth.
I really like how there is an unexpected twist.
About this girl who is in school and has this guest speaker. This guest speakers tell about this online RPG and she wants to join it. It's her birthday and she convinces her mom to let her join it and she meets a new friend.
I like how she tries to help one of the players in the game in real life.
